On Set with my Esteemed Co-Star

tora and feebo on set

Say hello to my fine, furry friend! Twas a totally fun film shoot. Feebo was very sweet and not at all difficult to work with. In fact, he was terribly gracious, freely signing autographs for the happy children who came to bask in his day-glo presence. I felt like a lucky-gal indeed!

The story behind the story is that I did have a lot of fun on this shoot as it was my first film project involving a lead puppet character. In the photo, you can see our lovely puppeteer, Mindy, wearing her Cloak of Invisibility while enlivening the lead with as much personality derring-do as Elmo himself on his very best day. Good times!

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – red band trailer

*The secret red band version has been taken off line. Sorry ppl : (

*But you can still have a look at the PG rated version:

*The Official HD version is now up on iTunes: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/thegirlwiththedragontattoo/

In it you can get a taste of the soundtrack from Trent Reznor and Karen O. on vocals.
I’m highly anticipating this version, as I’ve been a huge fan of David Fincher’s work since I was a kid. There’s a lot to live up to; if you recall, the original Swedish version with Noomi Rapace was an absolute stunner of a film. I’ve seen the initial poster artwork — intriguing, and they’re not pulling punches, so it’s looking good so far.

But no matter how it turns out, I can comfort myself with the fact that there’s always Daniel Craig’s stellar presence and performance to enjoy : )

YEY I can’t wait!!!!

Cave of Forgotten Dreams

We Were Once a Fairy Tale

A short film from Kanye West and Spike Jonze, celebrating their geniusdom and, I believe, Where the Wild Things Are….

Travel notes

To Seoul:

berlitz (japanese and korean conversation)
beyond borders
italian job (original with michael caine)
kungfu hip-hop (partly)
house (antarctica episode with mira sorvina)
willy wonka and the chocolate factory (with johnny depp)
the tudors (first episode)

From Seoul:

gone with the wind
kill bill 1 & 2
cj7
spy in the jungle (tigers in pench)

Long flights are a great way to catch up on movie-watching that I’ve been meaning to see but kept forgetting to place on the ol’ Netflix queue. I actually liked Gone With the Wind, realized I’d seen it when I was a wee tot, and the first episode of The Tudors made me blush when the flight attendents would unexpectedly show up with a glass of water during the mega-sexy scenes (of which  there are plenty). Now that’s timing! But the biggest surprise was Kill Bill, parts 1 & 2. Part Two was my favorite, after all these years being Tarantino-adverse, I stand corrected.

Btw, did anyone see CJ7, the latest Stephen Chow film? I loved that scene with the kid replaying the aerial jump-off the bird-backflip down to earth from Kungfu Hustle.
